We began working with Bettershred early in 2004. John was keen to investigate what e-marketing could do for his business but was unsure about the best way forward. We met with him to discuss his business, his current market and his plans for growth. Using specialist software, we identified relevant keywords, so we know which terms people were searching for - and we had a rough idea of how many were searching. Branch Out was also able to advise John that his existing website was not 'search engine friendly'. To help Bettershred meet their targets, we agreed with John that the best route forward was with advertising. Naturally, he was wary of spending money without a guaranteed return so Branch Out suggested beginning with a very small budget. It took less than a month for Bettershred to feel the benefits of their online advertising campaign so John was happy to increase his budget - and keep the flow of sales leads constant. In 2005 Branch Out began working with Bettershred to update their website and create a more user friendly and search engine friendly design. We are still waiting to see the full benefits of these changes but we are all confident that Bettershred's conversion rates will increase and they will see their name rising up through the search engine rankings. Ultimately we think that the credit should go to Bettershred for their efforts in carefully recording and tracking their enquiries. This information is vital for monitoring the performance of their advertising campaigns. The results is that we can work together to make the best possible use of the advertising budget. Additionally, it's a real tribute to the skill and professionalism of the Bettershred team that they convert up to 70% of their sales leads! Using the right keywords and running a targeted, carefully monitored pay-per-click campaign, Bettershred's website received more traffic and leading to more enquiries. The team then converted these leads into profitable customers. |
